1: How long have you been a member of Laceys?
I’ve been a member of Lacey’s from day 1 (was a member of Justin’s Livfit gym before they moved)
2: What changes have you noticed in yourself since being a member?
Strength and fitness has come a long way from the beginning, I’ve become handy around the house shifting heavy furniture these days!
I have also learned more about nutrition thanks to Jana and the sugar detox challenges along the way (which I might add has also helped me shed almost 12 kilo’s so far)
The recent purchase of the Myzone belt has also made a huge difference to the intensity of my workouts and I can see that it’s going to help push me to reach my goal this year.
3: What sort of training/classes do you do at the gym, and what do you like about it?
I pretty much participate in all the classes Lacey’s has on offer, I do the 47’s, LIR, Pumping Iron and Women’s Boxing (my next goal is to add a weekly evening boxing class) I love the variety of each trainer. Everyone brings something a little different.
4: What do you think makes Laceys different/special from other gyms you’ve been to in the past?The variation of every class. No 2 workouts are the same. I also love the general vibe. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming and the trainers really want to see everyone achieve their goals.
5: What’s your most memorable moment at Laceys?
There have been loads of memorable moments but the most recent has to be when Chris Warren turned up in a sparkly Christmas Dress for the annual Christmas workout… Quite the laugh watching him having to do sprints outside making sure his dress didn’t “ride up”.
Lacey’s have become like a second family to me, I love the friendships I’ve made along the way and I couldn’t recommend them enough for anyone looking into joining a friendly and motivating gym. They have helped me achieve my goals and continue to push me to where I want to be!
